Gators move on South Florida DB

Lauderdale Lakes (Fla.) defensive back Moses Jenkins says has received word that a very big in-state scholarship offer could be coming in the mail soon.
"Florida offered me on Friday," Jenkins said. "They sent me a text and said they are sending me the official offer letter in the mail."

The pending offer from the Gators will be Jenkins' first from one of the "big three" Florida schools.
"It was a very good feeling," he said. "I went up there for their camp and I got a good vibe.
"They are recruiting me as a cornerback."
Jenkins also feels that another one of the "big three" may be close to offering.
"Miami is supposed to be offering, too," he said. "They are supposed to let me know by the end of the month.
"I went down there and the liked me so they said they would let me know something by the end of the month."
Currently, the Gators and Hurricanes are in Jenkins' top five, along with Auburn, Wisconsin and Iowa. South Carolina, Central Florida, Rutgers, Akron, Minnesota and Rutgers also have offered the 6-foot-2, 170-pounder.
Jenkins has a timetable for when he would like to make a decision.
"I want to commit before the season," he said.
Jenkins had 44 tackles, 17 pass break-ups and an interception in 2005.
