A leader has emerged for Atlanta (Ga.) Tri-Cities athlete Tristan Davis.
Davis (5-11, 188, 4.45) attended Florida’s camp this weekend and gave high marks to the Gators.

“I really loved it down there,” he said. “The whole atmosphere was real nice. I liked the coached staff a lot. They’re real down to earth and personal to all of the people at their camp, not just the guys who were doing the best. That stood out to me.
“The coaches said they were going to be staying on me real hard. They seem like they really want me.”
Davis said he has offers from Florida, Tennessee, Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina and Clemson, among others. In addition to the Gators, his current top three includes the Vols and Cavs. He said he’s also hoping to hear more from Florida State, and Auburn may have a chance to crack his final list.
“I’m going to try to go back there for one of their last one-day camps,” he said. “The last time I went there I wasn’t able to participate due to a bad hamstring.”
He had also been considering Georgia, but says the Bulldogs are no longer on his list due to the lack of interest shown.
As a junior, Davis rushed for 540 yards in a backup role at tailback. He was a full-time starter on defense, recording 70 tackles and four interceptions.
Academically, he maintains a 3.0 GPA and has scored a 920 on the SAT.
