Last week it was a huge weekend for games in the SEC and many of the Southeast’s top recruits were on hand at either UGA-LSU or UT-UF. Memphis (Tenn.) Christian Brothers defensive tackle Corey Mills was one of the lucky ones to watch the Vols battle the Gators. So what were his impressions?
“I had a great time,” Mills, who is a three-star prospect according to Rivals.com, said. “Florida overall was impressive. I really liked it down there. I mean the stadium was incredible. It’s the first time that I’ve been around 90,000 people that were as loud as that.
“I was also impressed with the coaches and the facilities.”
With offers from both the Gators and the Vols, one would think it was a good chance to see two of his teams in action. Mills said that was the case, sort of.
“Tennessee did really look good, but I was watching Florida most of the time,” Mills said. “The Vols did look pretty good, but I was into Florida.”
Mills said he’s not even close to naming a top five and is looking hard at teams like Alabama, Florida, Kentucky, Memphis, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, South Carolina and Tennessee. He has offers from all of those teams.
