Gators hot on the trail of Aiken

Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna athlete Kamar Aiken holds three scholarship offers and has been getting plenty of attention from an in-state SEC program, among others.
"I don't have a favorite," Aiken said. "But Florida is recruiting me the hardest."

The Gators efforts, led by three-time Rivals.com national top 25 recruiter John Holliday, have them in a good position at this early stage. Aiken will travel to Gainesville, Fla., this weekend for Florida's spring game.
"He's a real cool guy," said Aiken of Holliday.
Thus far, Aiken has scholarship offers from the Gators, Auburn and Virginia. The 6-foot-1, 200-pounder isn't sure if any other schools have stepped up to the plate and offered yet.
"I've been doing track this spring and haven't been in school the last couple of days, so I don't really know if anyone else has offered me a scholarship."
Aiken projects as a wide receiver or safety in college. He has no preference which side of the ball he is on.
"I haven't decided which one I like better," he said. "I'm hoping that I can play both."
Aiken doesn't plan to make an early decision and has at least one destination in mind for summer camp.
"I'm going to make a late decision," he said. "I am probably going up to Auburn for their summer camp."
