Tight end Kyle Pitts has had a phenomenal spring and his recruitment seems to be heating up too. The Warminster (Pa.) Archbishop Wood star seems to be nearing a decision but he still has some visits left.

IN HIS OWN WORDS…

“I couldn’t make it to Georgia this weekend but I’m visiting Florida in a couple weeks,” Pitts said. “I think I want to commit before the season.

“I’ve been talking to Florida a lot,” he said. “I just want to get down there and see them for myself.

Virginia Tech and Tennessee are also doing a good job with me,” said Pitts. “I talk to coach Shibest and coach Fuente at Virginia Tech a lot. I think I’ll get back down there before the season.

“I’m hoping to get out to Tennessee during the summer,” he said. “I’m talking to coach Scott. I’ve been doing a bit of research and watching the way Tennessee uses their tight ends."

RIVALS' REACTION

Back in March Pitts named a top eight but has really been focusing in on Florida, Tennessee, and Virginia Tech. The Gators are in the best shape right now and his upcoming visit could end up turning into a commitment down the road. The Hokies and Volunteers have been involved in Pitts' recruitment for a long time and Pitts seemed intrigued by Tennessee and their use of the tight end. Pitts has some strong relationships at Virginia Tech and the Hokies will lean on them as Pitts gets closer to a commitment.
