Gaston back on market

Chris Gaston was committed to UCLA for months but recently the three-star defensive back stepped away from his pledge to the Bruins. The La Puente (Calif.) Bishop Amat standout is now seriously considering Colorado State and others as more offers come in during the final weeks before National Signing Day.

WHAT'S NEXT?: Gaston scheduled his first official visit for mid-January to Colorado State and the Rams could be a heavy favorite in his recruitment at this point. That coaching staff has shown a ton of interest in the Bishop Amat standout since at least the summer and it could be an option that makes sense. Wyoming recently offered and many others are getting involved late in the game.
RIVALS' REACTION: It didn't work out with UCLA for various reasons which means Gaston could be really serious about Colorado State especially if his visit goes well. The Rams recently visited Gaston, he's going to campus in a couple weeks and so it all makes sense that something is coming together. Wyoming and other schools might get a visit but it seems Colorado State has the edge here.
