Gastin setting up visits

Savannah (Ga.) Savannah Country Day defensive tackle Jeremy Gastin is another Peach State star that emerged at the NIKE camp after flying under the radar during the early part of the recruiting process.
"I have gotten calls from Navy and Columbia so far," Gastin said. "Navy is still the only school that has offered me, but I've been getting mail from other schools and talking to some other schools for a while."

The 6-foot-2, 246-pound Gastin attended the Athens NIKE camp where he ran the 40-yard dash in 5.06 seconds, the shuttle in five seconds and posted a 24-inch vertical jump.
"I am planning on taking official visits to Vanderbilt, Central Florida, Wake Forest and Navy," Gastin said. "I actually think that I already have dates set to those places, but I'm not sure what they are. My dad is handling most of this stuff for me."
So far on the season Gastin has helped his team to a 3-1 mark, starting on both offense and defense, something he's been doing since his sophomore year.
"Most schools are recruiting me as a defensive tackle," Gastin said. "I can play on either side of the ball though. I know that I plan on taking all of my visits before I make any kind of decision or anything like that."
