Gaskin enjoys UW trip

Myles Gaskin likes Washington a lot. The Huskies emerged even more after the Seattle (Wash.) O'Dea standout visited this past weekend for their junior day.
The three-star running back had an opportunity to meet all the new Washington coaches, he had a great time on the trip and the Huskies could be tough to beat in his recruitment.

"It was a great experience," Gaskin said. "I got to meet all the coaches face-to-face and it was great. The junior day I went to last year at UW was only noon to 3. This one was 11:30 to 5:30 so I really got to meet all the coaches, talk to them, see what they were about so it was a great experience.
"None of us have really met them face to face except a few of us. I hadn't so it was just a great experience to see coach (Chris) Petersen and the running backs coach to see what they're really about. They're really good dudes and they give a different type of energy than coach (Steve) Sarkisian. Not that it's better, but it's definitely different."
Washington, Washington State and Arizona State have offered Gaskin so far and the Huskies are definitely high on his list.
The Seattle O'Dea standout said he doesn't plan to commit for a while but Washington is up there.
"It does stand out," Gaskin said. "I know it's No. 1 for my parents. It's going to be a great experience in the next couple months to see what's happening with them.
"I'm going to try to commit right before my senior season, right before my first game. I'm not going to try to rush it and make a mistake. That's the plan. I'm not going to wait until signing day I don't think."
Gaskin has three offers and said Oregon, BYU and Colorado are showing the most interest.
