Garvin switches Georgia visit

Ramsey (N.J.) Don Bosco Prep cornerback Michael Ray Garvin has shuffled his visit dates a little bit. Now he'll have seen his two favorite schools by the middle of October.
"I moved my Georgia visit up from Nov. 26 to Oct. 8 when they play Tennessee," said the 5-foot-9, 179-pounder. "I visit Florida State this weekend and those two are pretty much my favorites. But I don't plan on committing until I take all my visits."

Garvin, who rushed for 224 yards this past weekend in a win over rival Bergen Catholic and also returned an interception for 60-plus yards, is also considering Oklahoma and Colorado for visits.
"Those two will almost certainly get visits," he said. "The last one I'm not sure of, it's between Rutgers, Boston College, Kansas State and Purdue. I've been to BC and Rutgers unofficially."
The No. 69 player in the country and No. 5 cornerback has led his team to a 2-0 record and will take advantage of this bye week to visit the 'Noles.
"They've always been a favorite growing up," he said. "It's a great program known for speed."
Garvin is also known for speed, running a 4.3-second 40-yard dash at the Elite College Combine in May. He is one of the fastest players in the country and also wants to run track in college.
"A good track program is important," he said. "That will be a bonus."
