Garrity has co-favorites

Batavia, Ill, defensive end Mike Garrity is mainly concentrating on schools in the Big Ten. Two in particular stand out and one of the two has extended a scholarship offer.
"I have verbal offers from Western Michigan, Iowa State, Illinois State, Northern Illinois, and Illinois," Garrity said. "Probably my top five would be Michigan, Illinois, Purdue, Wisconsin, and Georgia Tech is sending a lot of mail now. Then probably Western Michigan after that."

Garrity has been to or will soon visit a number of the schools on his list.
"I was at Purdue for a one-day camp," he said. "I go to the Illinois lineman camp on Saturday. I'm going to Michigan's camp next week. After Michigan I'm thinking about heading to Western Michigan for a one-day camp."
While Garrity said he couldn't name one leader, he does have two schools at the top of his list.
"I don't really have a favorite," he said. "It flip-flops. But Michigan and Illinois are probably my top two.
"I love the coaches at Illinois. They are really down to earth, nice guys. I like the renovations they are doing on some of the facilities. I have that home feeling at Illinois.
"Michigan is Michigan football. It's huge. I loved the coaches and players when I went to camp there last year. I went to a junior day too. I had fun there."
The 6-foot-6 and 255-pound Garrity played defensive end and a little defensive tackle during his junior season making 48 solo tackles with 12 sacks.
Garrity will also play offensive tackle his senior season.
"Recruiters are split between staying on the defensive line or switching to the offensive line in college," Garrity said.
