Garrett names co-leaders

We attended the Los Angeles (Calif.) Dorsey- Harbor City (Calif.) Narbonne game last Friday expecting the Dons, the No. 1 team in the L.A City section, to roll in dominating fashion. It didn't happen as the Gauchos pulled off a major upset and the best player on the field that day was easily Narbonne linebacker Kevin Garrett.
Garrett, a 5-11, 200 pound linebacker was all over the field and had some huge hits in the game. He finished with 12 tackles and at least half of them were the kind you could put on a highlite tape.

"This is a huge win for us, everyone has been hyping up Dorsey all year," Garrett told us after the game. "I don't know if they overlooked us or not but we came out ready to play. My goal for the game was 20 tackles but I'm still happy with how I played even though I didn't quite get as many as I wanted."
At the NorCal Nike Camp, Garrett ran a 4.91 in the 40 which is shocking when you watch him on film and even more son person. Garrett has very good games speed and was running down plays against a very fast Dorsey team all game long. Colleges have taken notice as Garrett is up to four offers, is very close on fifth and said two schools stand out right now.
"I've received calls this month from San Jose State, Arizona, Utah, UCLA, Oregon and Washington State," Garrett said. "San Jose State, Arizona, Oregon and Washington State have offered and I've been told Utah will offer very soon, maybe this week. Oregon and Washington State are definitely my top two right now. I just really like those two and will visit both officially.
"I don't think we have any Thursday games this year so all my visits will have to be in December after the season. I like Arizona a lot too and UCLA is right up there since they're the local school and my favorite growing up. If they were to offer, they would be way up on my list."
