Garner eyeing some visits

Three-star cornerback Kirk Garner continues to roll up scholarships. The Olney (Md.) Good Counsel prospect is looking at heading out on a visit sometime soon.
"Houston just offered me two days ago," he said. "I'm pretty sure I'm over 20 offers now."

Do any schools stand out?
"I want to take this process seriously," he said. "It's always in the back of my mind that I want to visit every school, but that's not possible. I do look on the internet and check into the schools. I'm taking it as it is. Right now, I'm just concentrating on getting better every day."
Garner hasn't visited many schools recently, but has plans to go out next week.
"I was supposed to go to Tennessee with Kendall Fuller this past weekend, but I ended up not going," he said. "I think Michigan is next. We're trying to go as a whole group this weekend and then I might be going to Virginia's spring game on April 14th. I believe Tennessee has a spring game on April 21st. That might be something I'll go to as well."
As visits are expected to pick up, Garner is looking for a few things in his future school.
"I'm definitely trying to see the field early," he said. "I look at the roster at Tennessee and they run the nickel with a bunch of defensive backs on the field all the time. Both of their corners are seniors and their nickel is a senior. That is three guys leaving and the other corner they have is a junior, so they are pretty old on the roster. That looks good since I'm assuming they need fresh bodies. That is one of my main goals. Education is first too. I want to be a student athlete."
