Garland CB has first offer

Garland (Texas) has been one of the top talent-producing high schools in the state over the past decade or so. However, with no signees the class of 2011 was not one of the more talented ones for the Owls. The rising senior class should be a different story though.
Recently one defensive standout picked up his first offer. Cornerback London Dial is sort of still somewhat an unknown prospect but that did not stop one school from taking notice of the 6-foot-1, 172-pound defender.

"I received my first offer from North Texas," Dial said on Monday afternoon. "It was back in June. They were looking at me during the spring but they hadn't offered yet. I went to their camp at my school. After that they called me the next day and offered me."
Several other programs have taken in interest in Dial as well.
"I don't have any other offers yet," he said, "but I've been talking to a lot of schools. They said they'll see how I do in the first couple non-district games of the season. I've been talking to SMU, Memphis, Baylor and Kansas State."
Though Dial received an offer after the North Texas camp it is not the only one he has attended this summer.
"I went to Texas A&M's camp yesterday," he said. "I went to SMU's camp and Texas State's camp too. That's it so far. I'm going to Baylor's camp this weekend."
Though the recruiting process is just beginning for the speedy defender, he does admit that a couple of schools currently stand out to him. Don't look for a decision any time in the near future though.
"As of now I like Baylor a lot," Dial said. "I also like what's going on in Denton at North Texas. I'm still waiting to see what else comes though."
