Garland-Carter will be loaded with stars

Attention college coaches: There will be around 15 Division I prospects on the field Friday at Garland's H.B. Johnson Stadium when Garland battles Dallas Carter. Carter is 3-0 on the season with quite a few elite prospects and Garland will be keyed by quarterback/athlete Tim Crosby.
Crosby missed this past week with a shoulder injury that he suffered in a five-overtime loss to DeSoto in week two. However, he'll be back, and the 5-foot-10, 170-pounder will be ready.

"There will be a million people there," Crosby said. "I'm excited about it, but I'm excited about every game. There will be a ton of talent out there on the field, and you know I'll be ready – especially after sitting out this past week."
Crosby is one of the numerous athletes/defensive backs in the Metroplex that have good offers. Crosby plays quarterback in high school but will be a cornerback in college.
He's sitting on offers from Tulane and Wyoming and has already gotten calls from them, along with Minnesota in September.
"Minnesota said they really liked me on film and told me to keep my grades up," Crosby said. "Coach (Kerry) Cooks is the coach that called from Minnesota. He's a good guy, and sounded like somebody I could play for."
