Gardner starts to eye visits

Wide receiver Trey Gardner out of Dinwiddie, Va. is beginning to think about visits. Where is the 6-foot-5, 202-pounder looking to take a trip?
"I'm planning to go with one of my friends to watch Virginia play Florida State (October 2nd)," he said. "I'm going to one of Old Dominion's games and I think I'm going to take a trip to Miami (Ohio). That may be an official."

A month ago, Virginia was picking up their interest, what's their status now?
"I talked to Coach Reid last week and he told me what he felt about me," he said. "He said just to wait patiently. I think they just want to see more of me. I'm hoping when I go up there I'll talk to Coach London a bit more and he'll make his mind up."
Of the offers he holds, Gardner is leaning a bit towards Miami (Ohio).
"You know, I really like their coach," he said. "He's talked to me and I watched them play against Florida. They really share the ball around and I really like that."
On the field, Gardner has been out with a broke leg, but is on the mend.
"I went to the doctor yesterday and he told me my leg was healed," he said. "I'm waiting until the week before homecoming against Meadowbrook to get back.
"I feel pretty good. I ran for the first time yesterday and it felt good.
"My team's playing well too. They did real well in the opener, they just had to get some kinks out and now adjust for Friday against Varina."
