Garcia talks recruiting

On the opening night of the Elite 11 on Monday, each of the quarterbacks had to stand up, introduce themselves and mention what college, if any, they're committed to.
Of the 12 quarterbacks, 10 have already given college commitments, the two holdovers being Tampa (Fla.) Jefferson's Stephen Garcia and Arkadelphia's (Ark.) Rontrell Bailey. Garcia said he was basically down to South Carolina and Florida.

"South Carolina and Florida are my leaders but I'm still planning to take all five of my college visits," Garcia said. "I'm not in any hurry to decide right now, it will probably be late in the process since I want to take my trips.
"Along with South Carolina and Florida, I also like North Carolina State and Boston College. I'm not sure who the 5th visit will be but I have time and its not something I'm worried about.
"Willy (Korn) has been talking to me a little about going to South Carolina since he's committed to Clemson. That would be a cool rivalry but I really don't know what I'm going to do right now."
Garcia, 6-2, 205 pounds had a great week of practice and was voted by the college counselors as the No. 3 overall quarterback in the camp. Garcia has all the physical tools and we love his toughness and the way he carries himself on and off the field.
