Garcia has focus on the South

Tampa (Fla.) Jefferson quarterback Stephen Garcia at one time was mentioning two Big Ten schools, Michigan and Ohio State. However recent developments have Garcia's focus on schools in the South.
"Ohio State sent a text message to my dad," Garcia said. "It said they are going to stop recruiting me, that they are looking at other positions more."

Garcia mentioned that Michigan is also no longer recruiting him after the Wolverines landed a commitment from Texarkana (Texas) Texas quarterback Ryan Mallett.
However, Garcia certainly won't have to look long to find plenty of potential destinations.
"I'm looking at Florida, South Carolina, Ole Miss, Auburn, Louisville and Alabama," Garcia said. "All of them have offered. They've all been to my spring practices in the past week."
Garcia has checked out several of the schools he mentioned.
"I've visited Florida a few times," he said. "I've visited Ole Miss, South Carolina, and Alabama. I think I'm going to visit Louisville and Auburn this summer.
"I don't have a favorite yet."
The 6-foot-3 and 212-pound Garcia threw for 2800 yards and 28 touchdowns during his junior season. He also rushed for 700 yards and eight touchdowns.
