Gant attracting attention

Donaldsonville (La.) 2015 three-star wide receiver Jaquel Gant stands in at 6-foot-2 and 190-pounds. He was named second-team all-district following his junior season, and he runs a sub-4.5 forty and has a 38-inch vertical leap.
His measurables and on-field play have attracted the attention of college coaches, and Gant feels good about the direction his recruitment has taken at this early point in the process.

"The recruiting process right now is going good," Gant said. "I'm hearing from a lot of big schools. I'm hearing from LSU, Oklahoma State, Georgia, UCLA, USC, but I don't have any offers yet. That's what I'm waiting on."
He has already taken a visit to Louisiana-Lafayette, and has an idea where he will be headed to on his next trip.
"My next visit I'm trying to go to Oklahoma State because they want me to come out there bad," Gant said. "So I'm going to go out there sometime this year like after basketball season."
In addition to his abilities on the football field, Gant is also on the varsity basketball team, and he was in San Antonio for the Army Combine last week.
