Ganaway makes the switch

Back in May, DeKalb, Texas athlete Terrance Ganaway made a commitment to SMU but it appears things have changed.
The 6-foot, 199-pounder took an official visit to Rice this past weekend and made a switch on his pledge.

"I'm committed to Rice now, I did that this last weekend," Ganaway said. "I just liked the school and I have a shot to play next year. SMU is really stacked up on running backs."
Ganaway was being recruited by Rice coach Dean Jackson.
"He's a funny guy," Ganaway said about Jackson. "He just explained that they're on their way up and they're building a good program. He just said that this is a new foundation."
Ganaway said that this most likely will be it for him recruiting-wise. However, Iowa State may be one school he keeps his eye on.
"They haven't offered yet, but they just popped up," he said about the Cyclones. "This is probably it for me though."
