Gamecocks want Jackson to commit

Outside linebacker/running back Chazeray Jackson may call North Carolina home, but two schools out of his state have caught his attention most. One of those schools has extended an offer and wants him to commit soon.
"Clemson and South Carolina are the two schools I'm most interested in," said Jackson. "They've recruited me the hardest and they take their football seriously down there. Just about all the schools in the ACC except Miami have been recruiting me, but they haven't offered yet.

"South Carolina has verbally offered me a scholarship, and they've told me that they want me to commit here pretty soon. I've been thinking about doing it, but I don't want to rush into anything. I know Clemson's coaches really well, and I'm not sure I want to rule them out yet. Those two schools are right at the top of my list."
The 6-foot-2, 210-pound prospect from Forest City (N.C.) East Rutherford runs the 40-yard dash in 4.4 seconds and could play a number of positions in college, including safety. What does the future hold for Jackson?
"Like I said, I think South Carolina is going to keep on trying to get me to commit. Right now I'm at a point where I'm thinking I'd just like to wait a while and see what kind of opportunities I'll have. I don't have any plans to take official visits yet, but if I wait longer to make my decision I could end up taking a few."
As a junior Jackson rushed for 645 yards and eight touchdowns, caught 16 passes for 345 yards and a score and recorded 90 tackles, 20 tackles for loss, five sacks and two interceptions.
