Gamecocks lead for Ohio CB

Cornerback Dale Peterman has camped at three Big Ten schools over the summer and he is claiming that several new offers have been extended in recent weeks.
The 5-foot-11, 155-pound defensive back from Youngstown (Ohio) Ursuline now claims offers from South Carolina, Akron, Bowling Green, Western Michigan and Ohio.

Depending on what happens with his test scores, more could be on the way.
"I've been to camps at Wisconsin, Illinois and Ohio State just recently here for camps," Peterman said.
"At Illinois there weren't a lot of people there. It was really me and a couple of my teammates and we basically had individual workouts with the coaches and talked to them.
"At Wisconsin I had a talk with the head coach. He said I would have an offer if my grades are together. There are things I have to do in the classroom. I've scored a 17 on the ACT. They want me to take it again and get a couple of points higher. When I do that they said I'll have an offer.
"Illinois and Ohio State told me they're both interested and they're going to see how things go."
While things look good with those three schools at the moment, another holds the top spot on Peterman's list.
"I would say probably South Carolina," he said. "They were really the first team to start coming after me. I've been talking to the coaches for a while and I really like them. They send me mail and handwritten letters all the time."
Peterman said he plans on waiting until February to announce his decision.
