Gamecocks get good news

The question has been hanging in the air for several weeks now – where in the heck will three-star junior college cornerback Jonathan Joseph of Coffeyville (Kan.) Coffeyville C.C. sign with?
The answer came earlier tonight when Rivals100.com caught up with Joseph back home in South Carolina.

“I wanted to stay home and be near my family and my baby,” Joseph said. “So I’ve decided to sign with South Carolina. I was really flattered that Florida wanted me to come play football for them, but in the end I felt it was best for me to stay home in South Carolina and play in front of my family and friends.”
Joseph also said Lou Holtz also had a big role in his decision.
“We had some really good talks about my situation and how I could come in there and help the team out,” Joseph said. “That’s what I needed to hear.”
