Fort Pierce (Fla.) Fort Pierce Central running back Marcus Levy received the news of his first offer early on Wednesday.
"South Carolina offered me," Levy said.

The 5-foot-11, 190-pound prospect was able to get on the phone with a member of Steve Spurrier's staff to discuss the offer.
"I talked to Coach (Grady) Brown today," Levy said. "He just told me that they were interested and that he will come down in the spring to talk with me, look at me, and make sure I am the height and weight that I say I am. He said they will also evaluate me while they are here to see if they see the same things that they see on film.
"He just said that they really liked me on film," Levy added.
At this stage, the talented offensive weapon does not know a great deal about the Gamecocks.
"I don't know much about them yet," Levy said. "I haven't looked into them yet but I am going to be doing that soon."
Levy said he has been in contact with a few coaches from different schools including Florida International, Louisville, and UCF. He is hoping to hit the road in the next few weeks to take some Junior Day visits.
I am going to try to sit down and see what schools I can get to," Levy said. "I want to go to Louisville but I am not sure if I am going to make it. I am going to try to go to UCF for their Junior Day (in March). That is pretty much it for right now."
As a junior, Levy had 196 rushing attempts for 1,382 yards and 18 touchdowns. He also had 30 receptions for 409 yards and three touchdowns.
