Brown continues to prove he's one of the best wide receivers in the West. After a stellar performance at the Rivals Camp Series presented by Under Armour event in Los Angeles, Brown was simply unstoppable during pool play and caught everything thrown his way. He's a great route runner, has impressive speed and has outstanding hands. Brown, who favors UCLAClick 1. WR Erik Brown, Fontana (Calif.) Riggins has emerged as a top running back in Southern California, mainly because of his good size and his ability to catch the ball coming out of the backfield. The Oaks Christian standout has the ability to keep his top-end speed when making cuts, which makes it nearly impossible for linebackers to keep up with him. UtahClick 2. RB D.J. Johnson just gets open. He has outstanding speed, and the four-star knows how to kick it into that higher gear to gain separation from cornerbacks. He's great on the outside in one-on-one situations or cutting back across the middle. The WashingtonClick 3. WR Rahshead Johnson, Long Beach (Calif.) Holmes made an impression at the Rivals Camp in Los Angeles because of his cutbacks and his ability to shake defenders in one-on-one situations. It cannot be overlooked, either, that he catches a lot of badly thrown balls and always seems to make something happen. The Tulsa, Okla., native is hearing a lot more from Oklahoma StateClick 4. 5. QB Brady White, Newhall (Calif.) Hart
The 2015 prospect had a strong performance at the Rivals Camp Series event in Phoenix, and he continued his strong push this offseason by being the most consistent quarterback during Saturday's action. White has grown since last offseason and has more zip on the ball. Even though his ball has more pop, it has kept the consistency, which means White can make any throw needed during the game.
6. WR Jaylinn Hawkins, Buena Park (Calif.) Hawkins was virtually unknown before Saturday's action, but the Buena Park receiver can play. What was most impressive was that he made numerous difficult catches even when he was being held or defended closely. Hawkins showed some of the nicest hands in the camp, and with the right exposure he could pick up some solid offers.
7. WR Jeremy McNichols, Lakewood (Calif.)
McNichols is being recruited by some Pac-12 schools, mainly for defense, but he showed a lot of offensive capabilities during Saturday's action. He has impressive speed, great hands and a knack for playmaking. The Lakewood standout is physically impressive and just seems to make things happen when he's on the field. He had a few touchdown catches that deserved recognition.
8. WR Trent Irwin, Newhall (Calif.) Hart
The expectation on Irwin is so high since he's established himself as one of the top receivers in Southern California that when he drops a few passes it becomes a surprise. The Phoenix Rivals Camp offensive MVP did not have his best day, but he had one of the plays of the day when he made a slick move on the outside, the cornerback fell and White delivered a nice pass for an easy touchdown. The 2015 prospect is smooth and has good speed, and making the CB fall got the B2G sideline hyped.
