Game-changing visit for Butler

Treyjohn Butler just wrapped up his important unofficial visit to California and according to the four-star defensive back he has a whole lot more to think about heading into his decision.
The Etiwanda, Calif., prospect who has been relatively quiet about his recruitment said the Cal coaching staff pulled out all the stops and he admitted that after his trip to Berkeley things have been turned upside-down in his recruitment.

"The Cal visit was really good," Butler said.
"I had a great time with coach (Sonny) Dykes, coach (Greg) Burns and coach (Jacob) Peeler. It was a game-changer visit for my decision, making it a lot tougher."
This visit was crucial because Butler is nearing his decision. The four-star recruit is planning to make his commitment on Aug. 14, one day before his birthday, so he only has a few weeks left to weigh all his options and make his choice.
After his trip to Northern California, there is no question that the Golden Bears now find themselves within serious striking distance for his pledge.
"They pulled out the red carpet when I got there," Butler said. "Overall, good visit."
For months, the Etiwanda recruit had Cal, Arizona State and Stanford as his top three so it has been no surprise since he's had a lot of interest in those three Pac-12 programs.
Heading into his decision, Butler said he has also added Northwestern to his group of favorites and will choose from those four schools in the coming weeks.
