Galas has solid leader

Modesto (Calif.) Central Catholic offensive lineman Dominic Galas has missed the last two weeks of action on the field but will be back on the field. On the recruiting front, one school out of the Northwest is looking very good right now.
Galas, 6-1, 270 pounds is one of the nation's top true center prospects. He's a physically over powering player who earned OL MVP honors at the NorCal NIKE Camp last summer.

After missing the last two weeks of football after contracting mononucleosis, Galas is ready to go this weekend.
"I can't wait to get back out there," Galas said. "It was terrible getting mono because not only did I miss a couple of games in my senior season but I had a visit to Boise State that I missed and I was really looking forward to that.
"I did take an official visit to Nevada the last weekend of September and really liked it. I got along great with the players and coaches and learned a lot about the school.
"My next visit will be to Oregon State (Nov. 9) and I'm very excited about that one. Oregon State has been recruiting me the hardest since the summer and I love the coaching staff there. There is a very good chance I'll commit on my visit and it could even happen before I take the trip, that's how much I like Oregon State right now.
"I'm still trying to set up a visit to Colorado the week before Oregon State but I haven't heard from them in awhile. I've called them about four or five times and haven't gotten a call back so I'm not sure what's up there. I know they're busy with the season so it's cool.
"If they call back and we can set up a visit, that's great but if not, it just makes my decision that much easier. Like I said, I really like Oregon State right now and I really think that's where I'm going to end up."
