Gaither to reschedule trip

Greenbelt (Md.) Eleanor Roosevelt defensive tackle Jared Gaither had plans to visit Maryland over the weekend for his first official visit, but was forced to make a change. He still plans to visit the Terps and will travel to at least two other schools before making a decision.
“I didn’t go,” he explained. “I had to postpone it because I had to take the SAT and then it snowed.” Although he hasn’t had a chance to reschedule the trip, he has every intention of making it to campus for his trip.

He has visits planned for Georgia on Jan. 9 and Florida on Jan. 16 and also wants to take a trip to South Carolina, but hasn’t set a date. Maryland and Florida both came in for in-home visits last week.
“I am looking at the coaching staff, the players, the overall atmosphere, and a place that will help me get my degree,” Gaither commented. “I am going to finish taking all of my visits before I decide.”
Jared stands 6-foot-9, weighs 300 pounds, and runs the 40-yard dash in 4.8 seconds. He is rated the No. 31 defensive tackle in the country by Rivals.com after recording 72 tackles, eight sacks, one forced fumble and three batted passes through ten games as a senior.
