Quarterback Bryan Gagg is still awaiting scholarship offer No. 1. And while the class-of-2019 prospect has plenty of time between now and college, it seems his wait may be drawing to a close.

Gagg is in the midst of an impressive offseason. He’s fared well on the camp circuit and schools are taking notice. So as he discusses his recruitment while wearing a North Carolina visor, he thinks something on the offer front may give soon.

“I just went to a North Carolina camp and they liked me,” Gagg said. “They showed interest. They could be closest to offering. They told me to keep sending them all my film.”

Gagg also recently camped at South Carolina and Miami. His stop at Miami was cut short because of lightning, but he says the South Carolina State took a liking to him after watching him throw. Purdue is also in frequent contact with the Sarasota (Fla.) High School standout.

IN HIS WORDS: “North Carolina was great,” Gagg said. “The campus was beautiful. It’s somewhere I’d really want to go if I had the chance.”

RIVALS REACTION: Should North Carolina offer, the Tar Heels would make an impact. Gagg has genuine interest in the program and was beyond impressed by his visit. Trying to project where a player without offers will land is impossible, however, Gagg grew up rooting for Florida State, which may or may not come into play down the road.
