Gage closing in on decision making time
Baton Rouge (La.) Redemptorist athlete Russell Gage is ready to look at his options.
He has plenty of them. Hawaii, Louisiana-Lafayette, Grambling, Louisiana Tech, Southern Miss, and Tulane have each extended offers. LSU, TCU, Nebraska, and Texas are showing significant interest.

He has not made any decisions yet, but it is getting close to decision making time.
"As a matter of fact I'm discussing that with several of the coaches this week because the season is over now," Gage said. "So I guess I'll be scheduling some (visits) soon."
He is not ready to name favorites, and he has no concrete visit plans at this time. However, there are a few options he has on his mind.
"Yeah, well, probably ULL, I'll take an official visit there," Gage said. "Tulane. I've been talking to a guy from LSU about taking one there. And last time I talked to the guy from TCU he talked about maybe taking one."
As for making a commitment, Gage plans to narrow his list in a timely manner. He has his sights set on taking his visits and making a decision before the end of December.
"It's going to be hectic once baseball season comes around," Gage said. "We start up with it in January and this is the only real time that's free to think about it and go through all my colleges."
