Ga. RB is a load

When it comes to big backs one of the very best from the Peach State is Jahron Brown. Brown, 6-0 and 218 pounds, is from Dallas (Ga.) East Paulding High School. Last season as a junior he rushed for over 900 yards (105 carries) and scored 16 touchdowns.
"I am a hard runner," Brown said. "I love to find the end zone. I like to have fun out there and I just try and play hard and have a good time. I know I need to work on speed. I think I have good speed for my size but I need to get faster. I can block and catch pretty well."

Brown plays running back, fullback and linebacker for his high school team. He is a standout on both sides of the ball but he prefers offense, specifically running back.
"I want to run. I want to play running back in college."
It's surprising that at this time Brown doesn't have any offers, although he could be close.
"Alabama is showing the most interest. I went there for an unofficial visit and I even told my mom before we left that I could fit in there.
"I have also seen Georgia Tech and South Carolina. I like Georgia Tech. That is a really nice place and it's close to home. I saw my first scrimmage at South Carolina and there were a ton of people there. It was impressive.
I really think ECU is close to offering me, according to my coach,. Middle Tennessee State could be as well. I really like those schools plus Auburn, Clemson, and Georgia Southern.
"I am looking for early playing time. I want to play right off the bat. I would love to play as soon as I get there. I want a shot at running back. I really want to run the ball."
According to Brown he carries a 2.6 grade point average. He is planning on camping at MTSU this weekend and Auburn this summer.
