GA lineman lands fourth offer

Marietta (Ga.) Pope offensive guard Grant Ramsay has seen his recruiting attention rise steadily since his first offers came in late February. Recently, Ramsay saw his stock rise once again with his fourth official scholarship offer.
"I received an offer from East Carolina today," Ramsay said on Wednesday. "It came today while I was in school. My mom called me and said that they offered."

The ECU offer adds to a list that includes Minnesota, UCF and Florida International and with the recent success of the program, Ramsay took notice.
"I was really happy because I know they're doing some good things," he said. "They won their conference last year and they beat West Virginia and Virginia Tech."
The tall rangy lineman has been active this spring hitting up college campuses and talking to coaches. Recently he took in Georgia Tech's junior day and before that he was able to visit Tennessee and talk to their coaching staff about a possible trip to its camp in the summer.
Virginia Tech has also shown some interest, something that pleases Ramsay.
"Virginia Tech, Coach Gray, he's watched my film and said that he really likes it and wants to get me in camp," he said. "If I do really well in camp then they'll probably offer me a scholarship. They're one of my favorite schools to watch on TV so I'm glad they got involved."
Though Ramsay doesn't yet know what his camp schedule looks like this summer, he does anticipate getting to at least two or three camp, including Virginia Tech. At this point, Ramsay's focus is turning to spring practice.
"Spring football is in two weeks," he said. "I'm trying to get my teams' mind right and get everybody focused on what we have to do and at the same time impress every coach that comes through because you never know who's watching."
