GA linebacker claims a major offer

Folkston (Ga.) Charlton County linebacker DeVarro Greaves is receiving a lot of interest from colleges and even claims one verbal offer at this time. Who has offered the 6-foot-3, 200-pounder?
"I'm getting recruited by Florida, Southern Miss, Ole Miss, Purdue, Georgia, South Carolina, Vanderbilt, Illinois, Miami and Florida State has given me a verbal offer," he said. "I got it a little while back and I'd say they are one of my top schools. I really want to go there, but I still want to see who else will offer.

"I like that Florida State is a hardworking, dedicated team that has a lot of athleticism. They play with passion and I really like their coaches a lot too."
The Georgia linebacker has three other schools he is looking hard at.
"I really like Florida, Miami and South Carolina too," he stated. "I just like how organized Florida is and the new staff there is doing a good job. Miami has a lot of talent and I was raised there and have a lot of family down in that area. I really like the players at South Carolina and they are dedicated at what they do. They also are coming together and are a really good team."
In general, what is Greaves looking for out of a college?
"I'm looking for a school that'll provide me with a good education, good programs and a solid environment," he said. "I also want a coaching staff that is encouraging and will push me to be better than what I can be."
Greaves earned all-region honors after accounting for 35 tackles and four sacks last season despite missing three weeks due to injury.
