GA kicker hoping for interest

Kicker Andy Stevens has a leg to watch in the 2007 class. The 5-foot-9, 190-pounder is a very talented kicker and athlete out of Gainesville (Ga.) Riverside Military Academy. What makes him stand out?
"He has done a great job for us as a kicker and fullback," Riverside Military Academy head coach Doug Dixon said. "As a kicker he has a strong leg that can both punt and kick field goals. I've seen him make kicks from 45 yards and I would say he could probably kick from 50 at least. He also is incredible on kickoffs by getting good height. Most of his kickoffs are in the endzone and I'd say 75% were touchbacks.

"He is also a good punter and just learned how to do that this year. I've seen him boot kicks 60 yards in the air before and he is still picking up that skill."
Besides being a kicker, Stevens plays fullback for Riverside.
"He could probably play college football maybe I-AA as a fullback because he is a very solid athlete," he said. "He has good speed and knows how to make a tackle defensively. He ran for 500 yards and five touchdowns last season."
Currently Stevens is still under the radar and hasn't gotten any looks from colleges yet.
