Future Gamecock Josh Vann's hands are golden

Hands are the most important part of being a top wide receiver. You can be the faster receiver. You can run the most precise routes. You have tower over cornerbacks. You can be strong and physical. But if you don't have hands, and if you cannot catch the ball, then none of that matters.

Josh Vann doesn't have to worry about that.

The South Carolina commit out of Tucker (Ga.) has ridiculous hands. He has very large hands for a prospect his size and his hands are strong, reliable, consistent and a real strength to his game.

Vann makes catching a pass with one hand live in a game with defenders on his hip a regular thing. No coaching staff likes to see a receiver attack a ball with one hand, and they shake their head until the ball is secured, but Vann does it with ease and he makes it look easy. It's not.

Against Marietta (Ga.) Kell in game one this season, Vann caught not one, but two passes with just one hand. One went for a touchdown.

It is not only hands that make Vann a Rivals 250 prospect. He is a natural athlete with quickness and that burst when he gets the football. He is slippery when getting up the field and he could be a dynamic punt returner on the next level as well.

Vann has good length, he is tough and he is a solid blocker on the perimeter. Vann's ceiling is high and South Carolina has to be excited about his future in Columbia (S.C.).
