Future Five: SEC after Tutt

The recruiting process is starting earlier than ever and prospects are sometimes
identified even before they reach high school. Much like our

series, we will spotlight five players per week that are early in their football
careers and have the potential to be highly touted college football prospects by
the time they graduate high school.
Who's Interested: Florida State, Miami, Georgia and Florida International have started to show interest in Davis, but he has yet to pick up his first offer.
What's Interesting: Carol City is a very talent-rich program and Davis seems like one of the top up-and-comers. A taller back at 6-feet, 176 pounds, Davis is a tough runner that has good speed and can be a threat in the passing game. He has the build and versatility to play in a number of offensive systems, so watching his recruitment develop will depend largely on what style offense he wants to play in.
DL
Tyler Friday (2018)
Ramsey (N.J.) Don Bosco
Who's Interested: Rutgers was the first to offer Friday and Michigan quickly followed.
What's Interesting: Friday plays at one of the best high school football schools in the country and he might be their best player right now. Friday will likely be a defensive lineman in college, but right now he plays right guard out of necessity and is doing a fantastic job. Against Meteirie (La.) Archbishop Rummel, Friday was matched up with Arkansas commit Briston Guidry for much of the game. Friday was dominant, driving Guidry or whoever else lined up across from him off the ball on running plays and tossing him aside on pass plays. Whether Friday ends up on the defensive line or offensive line in college, he will be a force to be reckoned with. His recruitment will hit another gear very shortly, so expect to hear his name a lot in the coming months.
TE
Cameron Jurgens (2018)
Beatrice, Neb.
Who's Interested: Jurgens is already committed to Nebraska and had an early offer from South Dakota State.
What's Interesting: It's not often you see a sophomore that is already committed to a major college football program. Jurgens committed back in August and seems pretty set on his decision, but there is a lot of time for things that happen. Coaches can move around, more offers can and will come in and he might even develop differently then what the Nebraska coaches envision. So much can happen between now and signing Day 2018 that Jurgens' recruitment and development will be fun to watch.
DB
Christian Tutt (2018)
Thomson, Ga.
Who's Interested: Everybody. Georgia was one of Tutt's first offers and Florida State was his latest offer. That pushes him over 20 scholarship offers.
What's Interesting: Sophomores with as many offers as Tutt are pretty uncommon. The Georgia Bulldogs are seen as a leader at this point, but Florida State's recent offer and Alabama, Auburn and many others are certainly teams to keep an eye on. As one of the more highly touted players in the 2018 class, Tutt's recruitment will be under a microscope and his every move will be scrutinized.
