Future Cougar RB speaks

The Washington State Cougars have made a living over the years with players like running back Marcus Richmond (6-1, 200, 4.48) from Mesa (Ariz.) Dobson. Rivals.com was able get a few moments with the latest Washington State Cougar commit.
Richmond is the perfect back for the Cougars he's a good old fashioned triple threat running back. He can run, catch and block.
Something that will be music to Cougar fans ears is Richmond recently was timed in the 40 on a track in 4.37.
Match that with the size of Richmond and all his other skills then you can see that the Cougars picked up a good one here.
"I wanted to play for a team that believed in me," Richmond said. "I was told by colleges that I would be getting other offers but Washington State was the first and that meant a lot."
"My Mom's brother played in the Pac-10 and she wanted me to play in the Pac-10," Richmond said. "My Mom and I think the Pac-10 is an elite conference."
"I really like the Washington State coaching staff," Richmond said. "I think they are down to earth."
"When I had a question they never acted like it was a stupid question," Richmond said. "They are the kind of people you want to play for."
Richmond doesn't have the date for his visit to Pullman but he wants to visit there as soon as possible. He wants to visit Washington State officially sometime in September.
The scouting report on Richmond is he has good size, speed and vision. He still has untapped potential to build on and the willingness fulfill his promise.
