FUMA Stud Has Top Two

Another Fork Union prospect is receiving a lot of attention. Does he have a favorite?
“Right now my favorite has to be Vanderbilt,” says 6-foot-3, 255-pound defensive lineman Greg Jacobs. “They have really good academics, they play in the SEC, and I could get playing time. The Nashville area is awesome, I love the place. I’m also looking at Virginia Tech really hard. They’re close to home and they always have one of the top programs in the nation.”

Beyond his top two, Jacobs is looking at about four other programs as well.
“I also like North Carolina, Boston College, Maryland, and UConn.”
So have any of these schools offered Jacobs?
“I have an offer from Vanderbilt. Virginia Tech and Boston College have said they may offer later on, but they haven’t right now.”
Jacobs has been to four of his favorite schools this summer, in hopes of getting a better grasp on where he would like to go.
“I went to the camps at Vanderbilt, Boston College, North Carolina and UConn. I was going to go to the Maryland camp, but that didn’t work out. I’ve been running my fastest this summer. I ran the 40-yard dash in 4.65 seconds.
Last year at Fork Union, Va. Jacobs racked up some impressive defensive numbers. He tallied 70 tackles, 11 sacks, blocked three kicks, caused three fumbles and recovered two.
If he continues his stellar play at Fork Union this year, he’s sure to hear a lot more from his favorites. After the season he’ll have a better idea of what decision he’s going to make.
“Vanderbilt leads right now, but I’m not ready to make a decision. I’m going to wait it out. I’m not in a hurry, so don’t expect any decision soon.”
