Fuller talks Clemson, decision

Olney (Md.) Good Counsel defensive back Kendall Fuller took his second visit to Clemson this past weekend following yet another trip to Virginia Tech. The 5-foot-11, 189-pounder wanted to compare his two favorites back-to-back and said he could be ready for a decision following the trips. Here's the latest.
"Clemson was really good, I got down there Friday and came home Sunday so I got to spend a lot of time with coaches, players and other recruits," said Fuller, the nation's No. 3 player overall.

"I spent a lot of time with coach Scott, my recruiting coach, and coach Harbison, the defensive backs coach, and was to break down some film with coach Harbison. I also got to spend some time with players and recruits. Dorian (O'Daniel) was there with me and I saw Robert Nkemdiche again, he was there on my first trip as well. There were a ton of recruits there and everyone was trying to get me to commit to Clemson."
Despite the pressure, Fuller held off as he promised. However, he did hint prior to the visit that he might make his decision this weekend at Gridiron Kings in Florida. But that plan has changed.
"I won't be making my decision yet," he said. "I think I need to think things through and take my time. Right now I'm not sure when I will decide, it could be the U.S. Army All American Bowl like I originally planned or it could be before that. But I don't feel I'm ready now."
What was Fuller looking to learn on his second trip to Clemson?
"I wanted to see if I got that same vibe I got the first time," he said. "And I did, it was a great vibe once again. I am still 50-50 between Virginia Tech and Clemson after comparing the two visits back-to-back so I'm not ready yet."
How did the two visits compare?
"They are really similar places I think," he said. "They are both small town schools, they have great environments and great fan bases. I like that they are so similar because they both have the things I am looking for. My mom visited with me for the first time at Clemson this weekend and she liked it. It took her a little while to warm up to it but she really did."
So what's next?
"Gridiron Kings is my last camp and then it's Good Counsel football," he said. "I'll probably take official visits to both Clemson and Virginia Tech and maybe take one out to Michigan as well. I might also take a look at USC. At The Opening I was talking a lot to Chris Hawkins, Jalen Ramsey and Max Browne and they got me interested, but I'm not sure about that yet."
