Fullback Sutton begins scheduling visits

Fullback Devven Sutton out of Elizabeth City (N.C.) Northeastern still holds two offers from East Carolina and Virginia Tech. The 6-foot-0, 239-pounder with 4.6-second speed is getting interest from a handful of others.
"I get letters and phone calls from East Carolina, Virginia Tech, Virginia, Ohio State, North Carolina, Penn State and North Carolina State," he said. "Ohio State was the only other school mentioning an offer, but I haven't heard from them in a while, so I'm not so sure anymore. Right now, Virginia Tech is my No. 1 school, but I also feel that all of those schools are my favorites and I have an interest in all of them."

Being so wide open, what is Sutton looking for in a school?
"I know the school for me has to have good academics of course and all of these programs also have excellent football," he said. "From talking to them, I believe all the coaches and players are very friendly and they are all nice environments. I'm also making sure to look for a school with a high graduation rate and all these fit that category too."
The two-star prospect is starting to consider official visits.
"I'm planning to go to Virginia Tech either January 21st or 28th and I'm also looking at heading to East Carolina sometime in January too," he said. "I just want to make sure I enjoy my time at those schools on my visits."
This weekend Sutton is headed to the North Carolina-Virginia game.
"I'm hoping to see how the players play and the coaches coach and just have a good time," he said. "Beyond that, I want to make sure I'm still on the coach's mind and being considered for an offer."
Sutton and Northeastern are off to an impressive season as they are 7-1.

I've added five touchdowns on offense too and I just got invited to the Shrine Bowl," he said. "I feel I still can get a whole lot more tackles than I have and a few more touchdowns. I think I've gotten a lot stronger and faster since last year. I'm feel I'm also a little smarter."Here to view this Link.
