Fullback prospect a new target

Georgia is looking for a fullback to come in and fill an immediate need. And it looks like Dawgs have set its sights on an in-state player.
Introducing Marietta (Ga.) Wheeler fullback Chris Hickman. The 6-foot, 225-pound Hickman was the Class 5A state champion wrestler in the 215-pound weight division and is sleeper prospect set to visit Athens this weekend.

"He's a heck of a player," Wheeler coach Chuck Goddard said. "He can power clean 300 pounds, and he's made great strides for us in my first year here. When I first got here he was at 250 pound and overweight. But he’s slimmed down, increased his speed and built himself into a legitimate Division I prospect.
"He has a lot of upside potential as well as a fullback. Georgia says they have a need at fullback, and this is the type of kid that would be perfect for that role."
Hickman, who has been timed at 4.66-seconds in the 40-yard dash, has offers on the table from Tennessee Tech, Western Georgia and Eastern Kentucky. However, deep down in his heart he's a Dawg.
"He's just dying to be a Dawg," Goddard said.
"He tells me every day that he wants to go to Georgia and play football. I've talked with the coaches and they haven't offered him a scholarship yet, but they seem very serious about him. He’s not a Reshard Dudley type of back, but he’s the type of player that you need to win games.”
