Fuga lands offer No. 2

San Diego State was the first school to jump on Huntington Beach (Calif.) Edison offensive lineman Romney Fuga with a scholarship offer and now a fellow Mountain West rival has followed suit.
Fuga, 6-2, 260 pounds is a talented lineman who earned all-county and 1st team all-state underclass honors last season. We saw Fuga in action a year ago against a talented Los Alamitos team and he was very impressive. He played left tackle that game but projects best as a guard down the line because of his size and strength.

Fuga is a true road grader and one of the most physical lineman in the state. He fires off the ball very well and isn't satisfied with just blocking his guy, he's looking to physically man handle his man and put him on his back on every play.
On the recruiting front, Fuga received an early offer from the Aztecs and BYU recently offered as well.
"I'm leaning to BYU right now but I want to take my time with making a decision," Fuga said. "I want to check out some other schools but being Mormon, BYU is a school I like a lot. I've visited the campus already and I'm very comfortable there. I'm also hearing a lot from Arizona, Arizona State and Nebraska.
"Our new line coach here, Jason Peter, played at Nebraska and he told me he heard Nebraska is going to offer me at the beginning of the football season. So right now, I'm just focusing on how our season coming up and then hopefully I can take a few trips before making my decision."
