FSU will get visit from Derrick Williams

Greenbelt (Md.) Eleanor Roosevelt athlete Derrick Williams has three official visits set. Florida State is the latest team to entrench themselves on his final list.
"I'm going to visit Florida State on Oct. 1 when they play North Carolina," said the 6-foot-0, 189-pounder who is ranked as the No. 1 player in the nation. "I already have official visits set with Florida for Sept. 24 and with Southern Cal for Oct. 15."

Williams had originally planned on visiting Oklahoma for their home game against Nebraska or sometime in December, right?
"That was never really set," he said. "There was some miscommunication there. Oklahoma has a chance at getting a visit just like Texas, Tennessee, Virginia and Penn State, but nothing is set yet. I don't know which other two visits I'll take. The important thing was setting the visits during the season so I could make those. Now I can set two for after the season if I want."
Williams, who had 300-plus all-purpose yards in a win last weekend, will announce his decision in December and enroll someplace in January. Is there a leader?
"No, I don't have a school that stands out," he said. "That's why the visits are important. It will allow me to meet the players, get a good feel for the coaches and the schools to make a better decision."
