FSU trip gives Rivals100 defensive end plenty to consider

Khris Bogle’s paramount emotion in the days following his spring game visit to Florida State is confusion.

That may not be such a bad thing for FSU, which gave the Rivals100 defensive end plenty to think about during his time on campus. A day after returning home, Bogle summed up his feelings in a concise sentence.

“My heart is all over the place,” he said.

Bogle is interested in Miami and Clemson in addition to Florida State. Other schools also remain involved in his recruitment. And while he declines to name an official leader in the process, his recent trip to Tallahassee certainly made its desired impact.

“The Florida State coaches were just telling me, to pull the trigger whenever I’m ready so I can be with my brothers,” Bogle said.

Of course, by his “brothers,” Bogle is referring to fellow touted recruits and close friends Dontae Lucas and Jaleel McRae, both of whom committed to the Seminoles over the weekend. Bogle says he isn’t in a rush to make a commitment, but certainly felt the allure while he was on campus.

“I loved the atmosphere and getting to be around big baby (Lucas), and JL (McRae),” he said.

For Bogle, the appeal of FSU is rooted in his budding relationship with the new FSU coaching staff. Willie Taggart and company may not have been in place very long, but that seems to matter not in Bogle’s mind. In fact, this weekend felt hyper-familiar. When asked to name a coach with which he spent the most time over the weekend, the four-star prospect couldn’t pick just one.

“It was a tie,” Bogle said. “It was coach (Mark) Snyder, coach (Alonzo) Hampton, and coach (Harlon) Barnett. All of them.”

As for a decision timetable, Bogle’s outline is, well, loose. He names no date and cautions everyone to not expect anything resembling a decision in the near future.

“I don’t think I would be ready to commit anywhere anytime soon,” Bogle said.
