Rivals250 prospect Delvin Purifoy committed to Florida State in the beginning of the year, thus bringing his recruitment to a halt before it really got started.

That didn't stop schools from coming after him this spring in an attempt to flip the No. 11-rated athlete from the Sunshine State. Purifoy said, "I got N.C. State, Kentucky, Miami, Ole Miss, Auburn, and Southern Miss offers this spring."
When asked if some of the new teams recruiting him are trying to get him to campus in the fall, the four-star inside 'backer stated, "Yes, sir. Auburn and Kentucky are, along with Ole Miss. I might go to Auburn soon. I want to see how it is at Kentucky and Ole Miss."
As far as his status with the Seminoles, he said he is solid.
How solid? "About 90 percent," Purifoy said.
The programs coming after the 6-foot-2, 228-pound defender could have a tough time swaying him.
"I would need to feel as good as I do here [at FSU] and feel more at home," Purifoy said. "When they got coach [Jeremy] Pruitt, we were talking almost every week when he was at Alabama. Me and coach [Rick] Trickett were talking almost every week, too. Both of the coaches were coming up to me all the time; that made me feel real good."
As a junior, Purifoy registered 116 tackles. The scary thing is he said he could have done better if he had played to his full potential.
His favorite NFL player is San Francisco 49ers All-Pro and former Ole Miss standout Patrick Willis.
