FSU, LSU keep lead for star DL

He hasn’t officially pared his list down to two schools, but it appears Florida State and LSU are still the schools to beat for one of Louisiana’s finest prospects.
Four-star Breaux Bridge defensive end Charles Alexander says the Seminoles and Tigers hold the top two spots on his list with Tennessee and Texas holding on as possibilities.

“I like Florida State and LSU the most,” he said. “One is my dream school I grew up watching, Florida State, but the other is a great school close to home, LSU, so it’s a hard decision if it came down to those two.”
He was playing a PS2 game between his two favorites when we reached him Sunday evening. So who was he representing?
"I'm LSU," he said. "But I'm down 14-0. I gotta get things going."
Alexander (6-3, 266, 4.9) said he’s received calls from FSU, LSU, Auburn, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M, Michigan, Michigan State and Oklahoma State in the last week or so. He says all of them have offered scholarships.
He’s made two unofficial visits to LSU for games, but has yet to set up any of his official visits.
“I really haven’t thought of any dates for those yet,” he said. “I’ve been focused on my season.”
Breaux Bridge is 2-2 this year with Alexander racking up 40 tackles and three sacks thus far. As a junior, he recorded 80 tackles and 10 sacks.
He's rated the No. 12 strongside defensive end in the nation by Rivals.com, but may also bulk up to play defensive tackle at the next level.
Academically, he carries a 2.5 GPA and has scored a 15 on the ACT.
