FSU Leads For Big-Time LB

Daytona (Fla.) Mainland inside linebacker Buster Davis has his first two official visits tentatively scheduled, but he also has a leader – in a pretty big way.
“I’m going to Notre Dame and Southern Cal in January sometime,” said the 5-foot-11, 230-pound wrecking ball. “Florida State is my leader though. I had a great time at their camp this summer.”

Davis, one of the top inside linebackers in the country, might also take trips to Nebraska, Georgia Tech and Syracuse, but FSU has a solid lead.
“I would say I’m about 65% leaning towards Florida State,” he said. “They made me feel very at home when I was there.”
Davis had 100 solo tackles last season, 28 of them for a loss. He also had six sacks, two interceptions and caused seven fumbles while recovering six more.
