Frost keeping his options open

Defensive end Mack Frost is a dominating pass rusher with a long list of favorites. Who stands a good chance with him?
"I’d say South Carolina, Auburn, Maryland, Virginia, Florida, Clemson, Georgia, and Tennessee are the top eight or so right now," said Frost. "I camped at Florida, UVA, USC, and Auburn this summer. They were all pretty good camps. I got to spend some time with the coaches, which was interesting. I like how all those schools are doing at least pretty well this year. They're all big-time programs."

What will be the biggest factor in his decision?
"Academics are very important, as is the relationship between the coaches and the players. Not too many guys make it to the next level after college, so if I don't I want to be prepared to get a good job."
Frost would like to make his decision around Signing Day, after taking several visits. So far he has led Columbia (S.C.) Spring Valley to a 2-2 record, despite playing with a severe high ankle sprain.
"I think I am alright to go now, but the trainers want me to rest it more," he says. "I might sit out for a game or something."
Despite the injury he has racked up 22 tackles, five tackles for loss, and a sack. He is a three-year starter, and was named All-Region and team MVP last year.
