Friends from NC Star for Cali JC

Two friends with a lot of football talent traveled all the way from North Carolina to play junior college football for Los Angeles Valley Junior College and its head coach Ron Ponciano.
Both players were highly thought of during their high school playing days at Pine Forest, N.C., but their academics kept them from getting a D-I ride out of high school. Hence the reason the two friends decided to cross country and trek to Valley College.

The two friends are defensive end Tearrias George (6-4, 260, 4.6) and linebacker/defensive end Rashaad Goodrum (6-4, 240, 4.5).
Both players were getting heavy recruiting action from the likes of North Carolina, NC State, Clemson, ECU and Tennessee out of high school.
George was selected all-conference, all-region and played in the state East/West all-star for his performance as a senior. Though George now plays de
Goodrum was an all-conference selection as a senior.
George played nose guard and fullback during his high school days, now settled nicely at defensive end.
George is very competitive and puts all on the line to get a W. He is also very speedy and athletic. George currently has three sacks on the season.
George told Rivals100 that he wants to attend a school with a comfortable atmosphere.
Goodrum is very versatile and could end up playing either defensive end or linebacker on the next level. He has tremendous speed, good vision and he’s a ball hawk.
Goodrum told Rivals100 that he is looking for a college where he will feel comfortable and a place where he could get out there and play.
Both George and Goodrum have received phone calls from Oregon State and NC State.
Another factor that will help the recruitment of both George and Goodrum is the fact that they are both freshmen but will graduate this June and have 3x3 eligibility left.
