Another Friday means another big game on the adidas "Friday Night Stripes" schedule, the first live streaming series of high school football games on Twitter. Each week, nationally ranked programs from across the country will square off, with many of the nation's top prospects set to take the stage in front of a national audience.
This week's game features a pair of Midwest powerhouses, as Indianapolis (Ind.) Ben Davis takes on Indianapolis (Ind.) Warren Central. Game time is 7 PM ET and can be watched live here.
Here's a breakdown of the notable players to watch in the game.
THE HEADLINERS
An explosive wide receiver who creates matchup problems on the outside, Bell is a highly-coveted prospect among several major programs. He also players cornerback for Warren Central. Penn State is getting his first official visit later this month, with trips to Purdue, Iowa and Indiana also likely to occur during the fall.
Britt is a tall, athletic offensive lineman who committed to Iowa at the beginning of the summer. He's the type of new-breed lineman that college programs look for as he will likely be able to grow to over 300 pounds at the next level. However, he will have to sit out the game after suffering a season-ending injury earlier in the year. He chose the Hawkeyes over Purdue, Vanderbilt and several other Power Five programs.
Warren Central has a tradition of producing big-name quarterbacks, including most notably former first round pick Jeff George. Purcell is the latest in the long line of talented signal-callers at the school, and brings a multi-faceted game to the quarterback position. He's currently the backup quarterback behind senior Jayden George, but could see time at other positions. Schools like Kentucky, TCU and Louisville are among the programs to offer the junior.
The big-bodied power back committed to Vanderbilt over the summer and remains locked in with the SEC program. Mimms has good size and runs with power and has the ability to take over a game at the high school level with his pounding style. He chose the Commodores over offers from Kentucky, Washington State and others.
Carnell is just a sophomore but already has the look of a future star. He's a versatile two-way player who can have an impact on offense or defense. He has an early offer from Purdue but several other major programs will likely join his list in the years to come.
