Another Friday means another big game on the adidas "Friday Night Stripes" schedule, the first live streaming series of high school football games on Twitter. Each week, nationally ranked programs from across the country will square off, with many of the nation's top prospects set to take the stage in front of a national audience.
This week's game features a pair of South Florida programs as Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) Cardinal Gibbons takes on Hallandale, Fla. Game time is 7 PM EDT and can be watched live here.
THE HEADLINERS
One of the nation's top pass rushers, Bogle has been hampered by injuries this season. Nevertheless, many of the nation's top programs continue to vie for his services, including Miami, Alabama and Texas A&M. Odds are on him staying home and playing for the Canes but that hasn't stopped several other programs from trying to get him on campus.
The longtime Kentucky commit leads the Cardinal Gibbons offense, combining a strong arm with impressive athleticism and a flair for the dramatic. Scalzo makes some eye-popping plays and will certainly be the focus of the Hallandale defense.
It didn't take long for Scalzo to recruit his friend and teammate Ogenenovic to join him in Lexington and Kentucky fans will get a nice preview of what to expect when they watch Friday night. The big-bodied tight end is a great blocker but also a prime target for Scalzo in the passing game.
Davis is an explosive back who can make plays on the ground but is also pretty good as a pass-catcher out of the backfield. He committed to Pittsburgh over the summer and has remained solid to the Panthers since, despite overtures from other programs.
Jeudy is a tackling machine for the Gibbons defense, leading the charge and benefitting from the extra attention drawn by Bogle. Jeudy committed to Kansas State over the summer and the Wildcats are hoping they got a steal out of South Florida.
Williams is the key to the Cardinal Gibbons offensive line, with good size and strength, he's responsible for keeping Scalzo clean and opening holes for Davis. He committed to Louisville during the spring and remains solid to the Cardinals.
